Handsome, antique, interior doors salvaged from an old, home in  Northeastern PA. These doors were original to the home's  construction and the home was built during the first half of the  previous century. The  doors are made of solid Douglas Fir or pine, and are  painted white  on both sides. They have 1 recessed (flat) panel on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the   same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine


Hardware: The  doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a  good selection of hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay  store).

Uneven Height: The height on Door#2 was unevenly cut by 1/4" most likely to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut  it to an even 77 1/4", cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to  be wider/taller--email us for a quote.

Condition: The  doors are strong, sturdy, and in excellent structural condition. They only have  nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp,  or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that they have will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks ". (See last photo for worst blemish).

Strip/Refinish: We could    strip/refinish, or partially or completely strip the door(s)  to   prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. We have MANY photos of doors that we've restored that could give you an idea of how this door could clean up. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and   we'll give you a quote.

Swing: The doors are set up to swing into a room towards your left, or  away from the room towards your right.

We could  change the swing of either door--email  us for a quote.

Modification: We  could also modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the heights or  widths, replace  the panels with glass, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give  you a quote.
