Antique Vintage Old Salvaged Reclaimed "Sargent" Art Deco Bronze Steel Door Set Round Glass Knob Brass Steel Plate Lock Lockset

The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door.

The glass knobs are round and smooth. These are much less common than the faceted glass knobs you see in most old homes. The escutcheons have a beautiful, Art Deco style design.

The door that the set was removed from was painted, and the previous owner got paint on the edges of the plates and lock, however, we removed it.

Considering that the set is about 100 years old, it's in excellent condition. Expect only tiny nicks and light scratches; no breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or deep scratches, etc. The glass knobs are firmly affixed to their bases (no jiggling or looseness).

The lock was opened, inspected, and we sprayed grease on and around all parts to facilitate their movement. The inside of the locks is fairly very (see last photo). If you want a key to operate the lock, we could modify an old skeleton key to work with the lock for $15/key--email us after the auction if you are interested.
