24" Diamter Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Heartpine Wood Wooden Wall Mounted Circle Circular Beveled Mirror Glass

Wonderful, antique mirror salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The frame is made of solid heartpine, and has 4, steel clips to secure the glass.

Please note that heartpine is the non-living, core of a pine tree, and not the soft, outer, living sap-wood. Since it takes 30 years for a pine tree just to develop just 1” of heart stock it is rarer, harder, more durable, more insect & rot resistant, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and is much more valuable than the cheap, pine lumber that is commonly found at most hardware stores.

We found the frame in excellent condition with no flaws to report. Our carpenter inspected the piece and found nothing to repair, replace, or even tighten/reinforce.

The glass is in great condition and free of breaks, cracks, or nicks.

Since the glass is old, it has a few spots of worn silvering and some light scratches. Worst damage to the silvering (see last photo).  These are just some of the charming characteristics of old, distressed mirrors--nothing to be concerned about. The glass and frame are ready for another lifetime of service.
