27"x75" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Wooden Interior Pantry Closet Door Single Panel

Handsome,  antique, pantry door salvaged from an old, home in  Northeastern PA. This door was original to the home's  construction and the home was built during the first half of the  previous century.  The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and has a single  recessed (flat) panel on both sides. The door is painted white  on both sides. 

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the   same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine


Hardware: The  door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good  selection of hardware to outfit it(check out our eBay  store).

Uneven  Size:

The width of the door was unevenly cut by 1/8"  while the height by 1/4", the cuts were made  most likely  to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We  could cut  it to an even 27 3/8 x 75 3/8", cut it narrower/shorter, or  even build it up to  be wider/taller--email  us for a quote.

Condition: The  door is strong, sturdy, and in excellent structural condition. It only has  nicks and scratches, but no major breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp,  or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".  (See last photo for the worst blemishes on this door).

Strip/Refinish: We could    strip/refinish, or partially or completely strip the door to    prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. We   have MANY photos of doors that we've restored that could give    you an idea of how  this door could clean up. Email us with   a small description of what you would like done, and   we'll give you a quote.

Swing: The  door is set up to swing into a room towards your left, or away  from the room  towards your right.

We could  change the swing of the door--email  us for a quote.

Modification: We  could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or  width, replace the panel with glass, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give  you a quote.
