29.5"x80" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Interior SOLID Wood Wooden Door 2 Panels

Handsome, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The door is made of solid Douglas fir or pine, and has 2 recessed (flat) panels on both sides. The door is painted white-green on the exterior side and white-pink on the interior side.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine  hewn  from 10 - 20  year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant,  rot-resistant, or even  fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from   trees hundreds of years old  has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger  than young pine.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a  good selection of  hardware to outfit it (check out our online store).

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The door has a small break on the exterior side of the lock-stile (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks."

Swing: The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door allowing you to define its swing and install your hinges on either side.

Modification: Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
