3"x12" Antique Vintage Old Y&T Yale & Towne Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Bronze Swinging Door Beveled Push Plate

Elegant, antique push plate made by, "Yale & Towne," of Stamford, CT sometime around the turn of the previous century. The plate is a thin, rigid sheet of solid bronze with beveled (slanted or sloped) edges. It's heavy and not easy to bend.

It has a great, dark brown patina (tarnish). If you prefer your hardware bright and shiny, this is easy to acheive with some "BRASSO" and #0000 grade steel wool.

Considering that the piece was probably touched thousands of times, it is in great shape. Expect light scratches and tiny nicks, but no breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or gouges. The plate is ready for another lifetime of service.
