*  Although there are 3 doors available, the list price is for 1 door only. If you are planning on buying less than 3 doors  please message us after the auction to let us know which door(s) you'd like. The first 4 photos show Door#1, the next 4 photos show Door#2, and the last 3 photos show Door#3.

* Please note that the 29.5"x79" in the title is just an estimate. The doors are not exactly that size. Please see "Dimensions" below.

Elegant, antique interior doors salvaged from an old, home in  Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The doors are made of solid Douglas fir or pine, and have a faux grain on each side.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have   the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities   that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also   much harder and stronger than young pine.

The doors have a Victorian style, 5-panel arrangement with 4 vertical panels divided by a small horizontal panel. The panels are raised on both sides.

Hardware: No door is equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).

* If you would  like the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please  email us for a quote.

Quirks & Considerations:

Door#1 has a thin 1/8" gap (see 4th photo). Door#2 has a thin 1/8" gap (see 8th photo). This is not a serious issue and the doors can still be installed and used for decades without the gaps widening. However, we could close the gaps using clamps and reinforce/secure the corners using modern glue and some dowels (wooden joints)--message us for a quote.

The height and width of Door#1 and the height of Door#2 were unevenly cut by  3/8". The width of Door#2 was unevenly cut by 3/4" and Door#3's width by 1/2". The cuts were most likely made to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut any of the doors to an even height/width, or cut them narrower/shorter, or even build them up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: Considering the doors are at least 100 years old, they are strong, sturdy and in great condition. They only have nicks  and scratches, but no rot, warp,  broken/cracked joints, or any other serious issues.
Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Strip/Refinish: We could    strip/refinish, or partially or completely strip the door(s) to    prepare it/them for you to repaint or refinish. We have MANY photos of doors that we've restored that could give you an  idea of how  these doors could clean upEmail us with a small description of what you would like done, and  we'll give you a quote.

SwingDoor#3 is set up to swing into a room towards your left or away from the room  towards your right. Doors #1 & #2 are set up to swing in the opposite direction.  We can change the swing of any door--message us for a quote.

Modification: Want to use 2 of these doors to make a pair? We could also modify the door(s) to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could make a frame(s), trim or add to the heights or  widths, replace panels with glass, reverse the swings, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
