3 available 30"x79" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Interior SOLID Wood Wooden Door Single Panel

Handsome, antique doors salvaged from an old, home in  Northeastern PA. These doors were original to the home's construction and the  home was built during the 1920's. The doors have a solid heartpine or Douglas Fir core,  veneered with 1/16" thick heartpine veneers. All of the doors are  stained and finished. They have a traditional, Arts & Crafts style, single recessed  (flat) panel  design.

Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the  paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/16"  thick and provide strength and stability to the door.

Please note that heartpine is the non-living,  core of a pine tree, and not the soft, outer, living sap-wood. Since it takes  30 years for a pine tree just to develop just 1” of heart stock it is rarer,  harder, more durable, more insect & rot resistant, less susceptible to warping  and twisting, and is much more valuable than the cheap, pine lumber that is  commonly found at most hardware stores.

Hardware: None  of the doors are equipped with hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store.

Uneven size: The heights of Doors#4 & 5 and the width of Door#6 were unevenly cut by 1/4" - 3/4" most likely to accommodate a warped floor or sagging  foundation. We  could cut any to an even height/width, cut it narrower/shorter, or even build   it up to be wider/taller--email  us for a quote.

Condition: All of the  doors are strong and, sturdy, but are missing big portions of veneer  (mostly along the bottom). If you need the doors about 2" - 3" shorter, the  bottoms with the missing portions of veneer could be cut off. If you need them  at 79" or taller and are planning on painting, the missing portions could be  filled with compound or any kind of veneer (doesn't have to match surrounding  veneer). If you're planning on staining, we could re-veneer the doors--email  us for a quote.

Otherwise, the doors only have nicks and  scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks."

Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the doors to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photo in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.

Swing: Door#4 is set up to swing into a room towards the right, or away from the  room  towards the left; Doors#5 & 6  swings in the opposite  direction. We could change the  swing of any door--email  us for a quote.

Modification: Do you want to make a pair using 2 of these doors? Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
