3 available 32"x80" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Interior SOLID Wood Wooden Door Single Panel

Handsome, antique doors salvaged from a 1930's home in Throop, PA. Each door has a solid pine or Douglas Fir core, covered 1/16" thick heartpine veneers. The doors are stained on both sides and have a traditional, Arts & Crafts style, single, recessed  (flat) panel design.

Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the  paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/16" thick and provide strength and stability to the doors.

Please note that heartpine is the non-living,  core of a pine tree, and not the soft, outer, living sap-wood. Since it takes 30 years for a pine tree just to develop just 1” of heart stock it is rarer, harder, more durable, more insect & rot resistant, less susceptible to warping  and twisting, and is much more valuable than the cheap, pine lumber that is commonly found at most hardware stores.

Hardware: None of the doors are equipped with hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware in our store.

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp,  or any other serious issues. Door#1 & #3 have VERY MINOR nicks/scrapes in the veneer with the ones on Door#1 being the most notice-able (see 4th photo). However, Most of the blemishes that they have will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: Doors#1 & #3 are set up to swing into a room towards the left, or away from the room  towards the right; Door#2 swings in the opposite direction. We could change the  swing of any door--message us for a quote.

Modification: Do you want to make a pair using 2 of these doors? Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the heights or widths, reverse the swings, plug the hardware holes, etc. Message us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
