30"x77" Pair Vintage Antique Old Reclaimed Salvaged Wood Wooden Interior Closet Double Doors Louver
30"x77" Pair Vintage Antique Old Reclaimed Salvaged Wood Wooden Interior Closet Double Doors Louver
Wonderful pair of vintage, double, closet doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The doors are made of solid pine or Douglas Fir and are completely painted gray. Each door has 2 sets of louvers.
Hardware: The doors are not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit them (check out our eBay store).
Uneven Height: Each door was unevenly cut by 1/4", most likely to compensate for a warped floor or settling foundation. However, we could cut them to an even 77"H, shorter/narrower, or even build them up to make them taller/wider--email us for a quote.
Condition: The last 4 photos show the worst blemishes the doors have. The last photo shows both sides of a repaired louver. The 2nd to last photo shows a cracked louver and a couple of scraped louvers, and the other 2 just show holes and scrapes where the original hardware was installed. The crack louver is only cracked on one side, and it's not loose. Just fill the crack and holes with a combination of glue and wood putty prior to painting.
Otherwise, the doors are strong and sturdy. Once they are sanded for a new coat of paint, most of the blemishes would be removed. What remains will be covered by paint, and only appear as a "character mark."
Modification/Refinish: We could trim or add to the height or width, replace sets of louvers with glass, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
