Handsome, antique, interior, swinging door salvaged from an old home in Ohio. The door has 1/8" oak veneers covering a solid pine core and features 6 beautiful, recessed panels.
Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door.
Hardware: The
door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection
of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store.

Condition: On the exterior side of the door, there is a chip in the pivot hinge mortise, on the bottom of the hinge stile.
On the interior side of the door, there is a chip in the bottom of the hinge stile.
Otherwise, the door is strong, sturdy, and in great shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes--minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted.
Uneven Height: The
door's height was unevenly cut by 3/8" at some point, most likely to
compensate for an old warped floor or settling foundation. We could cut the
door to an even 80", cut it shorter/narrower, or even build it up to make it
taller/wider--email us for a quote.
Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photo in this auction as an example of our work. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
Swing:
This is considered a swinging door, because it was designed to swing back and forth on pivot hinges.
Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace
wooden panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, add decorative embellishments, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
