Handsome, antique, entry door salvaged from an old,  home in Northeastern, PA. The door is made of solid pine, and is stained on both sides. It has 2 raised panels on both sides, and 3 windows with old glass.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood.  New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the    same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities  that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine  is also much harder and stronger than young pine

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection  of period hardware to outfit it (check out our online store).

Uneven Height: The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cut was most likely made to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the  door to an even 79 5/8", or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks  and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. 

The only piece of a damage is a sliver of wood missing from the bottom of the lock-stile (see last photo). However, this is not an issue, as it was stained over by the previous owner, meaning it poses no threat to the integrity of the door and is almost invisible unless you are inspecting for imperfections.

Otherwise, most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".

 All of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a house towards your  left, or away from the house  towards your right. We could  change the swing of the door--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could  also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could trim or add to the height or width, replace the panel(s)  with glass, vice versa, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a  small description of what  you would like done,  and we'll give you a quote.
