36"x81.5"x1.75" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Wood Wooden Entry Door Window Glass

Beautiful, rare antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and is painted on both sides.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the  same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much  harder and stronger than young  pine.

The door has 9 windows with old, wavy glass and 6 panels below the glass.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height: The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made  to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut   the door to an even height/width, or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it  up to be wider/taller--message  us for a quote.
 

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked  joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear  after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever  remains will  be subtle, "character marks".

All of the glass is in great condition with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a home towards the right or away from the home  towards the left.
We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message  us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make  a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with screen, reverse   the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small  description  of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
