Antique Vintage Old "American Chair Co" SOLID Walnut Wood Wooden Sewing Work Side Dining Accent Desk Fabric Seat

Elegant, antique, sewing chair salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. It was made by, "American Chair Mfg. Co." sometime around the first half of the previous century. It's made of solid wood (most likely walnut) and has a seat cushion upholstered with a floral-patterned fabric. Since the fabric looks newer, it's most likely not original. I'm guessing the chair originally had a caned seat as that was typical for a chair of this style.

This type of chair was commonly used by seamstresses, which is why we labeled it as a, "sewing chair." It would be good for any type of manual labor that requires work at a table or for anyone who doesn't like to use a backrest for support.

Our carpenter inspected the chair from top to bottom, and didn't need to make any repairs, nor needed to reinforce anything. All of the joints are tight, and there is no looseness at any point.

The chair is clean with very few nicks and light scratches. The fabric is free of rips, holes, stains, or odors. This chair is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service!
