Antique Vintage Old Colonial Neoclassical Reclaimed Salvaged Mersman SOLID Mahogany Wood Wooden End Accent Lyre Harp Hall Side Oval Table

Elegant, antique, end table made by, "Mersman," of Celina, Ohio. It is made of solid Mahogany and retains its original finish.

The table top has an oval form w/raised edges. The legs have acanthus leaf motifs and the tip of each leg is sealed with a solid brass claw foot.

Underneath the table there is a beatiful lyre shaped pedestal connecting the table top to the legs.
 

There are nicks and scratches all over, but since they are not deep, they may be minimized by using a stain pen or an oil which restores old stain/finish. There are small pieces of veneer missing on the upper edge of the tabletop (see last photo).

The finish on the table top is also worn in some spots. If you are planning on putting something on top of the table (lamp, vase, doily etc) this will not be an issue. However, if you want the top exposed, the worn spots are very notice-able and you'll only be able to fix them by re-finishing the top.

Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the piece and found no repairs to make, nor anything to glue or reinforce. All of the joints are strong, the tablet slides in and out with ease, and the table is sturdy and ready for another lifetime of service!
