Antique Vintage Old SOLID Hard Wood Wooden Side End Coffee Sofa Accent Table Stand

Gorgeous, antique, coffee table made by, "Imperial," of Grand Rapids, MI. It is made of mahogany and retains its original finish. The top is leather surrounded by a border of mahogany.

The table has elegant details from top to bottom including carved floral blocks at the top of each leg and under the top where the 4 stretchers meet, ogee arches on all 4 sides of the skirt, and round columns/posts under those arches, on the legs, and even on the stretchers.

There are tiny nicks and light scratches here and there. However, there are no breaks, cracks, chips, gouges, rot, or warp. The worst flaw is actually only noticeable at certain angles. There are impressions or marks in the top from items that were left on the table over the years. They are not stains and they probably could be removed with mineral spirits or some kind of cleaner which we don't have. One of these impressions is a round design in the center and about 10 circles, 5 of which could be seen on the right side of the top in the 2nd photo.

Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the piece and found no repairs to make, nor anything to glue or reinforce. All of the joints are strong, and the table is sturdy and ready for another lifetime of service!
