Vintage Antique Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Oak Wood Wooden Side Accent Dining Ladderback Ladder Chair

Handsome, solid wood, dining chair salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. The chair is made of solid oak wood and has its original stain and finish.

It has a lovely, ladder style backrest and saddle seat for comfort. The top of the backrest is arched and the 2 front legs are turned, adding an aesthetic charm to the chair's simple design.

Our carpenter inspected the chair from top to bottom, and didn't need to make any repairs. He didn't need to glue or tighten anything else as the chair is strong and sturdy. I asked him about the wires between the legs and he said, "they were added by the owner," and that "they are usually added if the legs become loose as a cheap repair." However, he said that the joints are tight and the legs aren't wobbly so they may have been added as a preventive measure to keep the legs sturdy over time. 

The chair is in great condition with only the typical nicks, scratches, and spots of worn finish that you would expect to find on an old, used chair. There are no broken or cracked joints, dents, gouges, rot, or warp. This chair is ready for another lifetime of service.
