Large 3pc Antique Vintage Old Salvaged Reclaimed Victorian SOLID Cast Bronze Brass Decorative Door Hinge Plates Brackets

Wow, what a rare find! This gorgeous, 3-piece plate set was salvaged from, "St. James Roman Catholic Church" in Red Bank, NJ (see last 4 photos). The plates were made by, "Reading Hardware Co." of Reading, PA during the late 1800's. Each plate is made of solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze and has a lovely design with curled ends.  Included are 16 screws to fasten the plates to the door.

The design is called, "Arlington," and it is accentuated by a rich, dark, original patina. If you're not a fan of patina/tarnish, it could be removed with "Brasso" and #0000 grade steel wool.

These plates are used for decorative purposes. They install on the face of the door, directly next to the hinges to give the impression that the plates and hinges are one, making the hinges look like something you would find on a large, medieval or old-world shrine or temple door.

The plates' beauty and quality is only matched by their impeccable condition. All are perfectly straight with no breaks, cracks, chips, dents, gouges, scuffs, or scratches. They are ready for another lifetime of service.

I have been working with antique hardware for over 20 years and I've never come across anything like this. I'm guessing that these were custom made for the church. If you are a collector, act fast because you may never get another chance to add such unique hardware your collection.
