Vintage Antique "J.B. Van Sciver Co." Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Hard Wood Wooden Dining Room Set Chairs Table Leaf

Exquisite, vintage, dining room set salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. The table and chairs are made of a solid hard wood and retains their original stain and finish. They were made by, "J.B. Van Sciver" about 50-60 years ago.

The chairs have elegant, arched backrests and saddle seats. Their backrests are made up of 2 rails. Both rails have unique carvings that give the overall set a lot of charm. Both rails are curved and firm to provide extra support to the back.

The table comes with a removable leaf (see photos #7 & #8).

The chairs' finish is still in good shape. The most notice-able spots of wear are on the edge of the seat and top rail of the backrests. The table has a few spots of worn finish mainly on the edges. The worst blemish on the table is a streak of spray paint (see 2nd to last photo)

The chairs and table are in great structural condition, but do have small nicks and light scratches here and there--typical wear for furniture this old. On one of the chairs, there is a crack on the back rest that was glued by the previous owner. (see 6th photo).  However, there are no serious flaws like broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, or warp. Our carpenter inspected each piece in the set and didn't need to repair, tighten, or reinforce anything! The set is ready for another lifetime of service!
